Max Scholz

Managing Attorney
Maximilian “Max” Scholz joins Wilson and Scholz with extensive experience in both criminal and civil law. After Max graduated from Stetson College of Law in Florida, his legal journey began with the establishment of his own practice, where he developed a strong foundation in civil law. Max’s career took him from private practice to a role as a prosecutor in both Marion and Johnson Counties. Prosecuting cases ranging from felonies to misdemeanors. Additionally, he served as an investigator in Johnson County, all of this, further deepening his understanding of the legal landscape from multiple angles. Now, as a member of Wilson and Scholz, Max brings his comprehensive experience and a commitment to excellence to every case. His unique background equips him to handle complex legal challenges with a nuanced and informed approach, continuing his dedication to providing exceptional legal representation.

John “Phil” Wilson

Of Counsel
John P. "Phil" Wilson earned his Juris Doctorate (J.D.) Degree from the Indiana University School of Law in Indianapolis in 1974. Before earning his J.D. Degree, Mr. Wilson spent his early years in the legal field working as an intern for the prosecutor's office and for local law firms. In 1974, he founded the Law Offices of Wilson, Limeberry, & Tandy. Since then, the firm has evolved and changed many times throughout the years, but continues with Mr. Wilson as its founder serving clients and the community with his many years of experience. ​In May 2016, Mr. Wilson was honored by the Johnson County Bar Association with the Roy L. Dickinson Award for Professional Merit. This prestigious award recognizes an honors attorneys who have exhibited exceptional dedication to the cause of justice, the betterment of the community and the profession, and whose actions have shone an exceptionally positive light on the practice of law, or members of the legal profession. Mr. Wilson has practiced law for over 49 years in the central Indiana area and has extensive experience in many areas of expertise. A large part of his career has been spent serving the community in various roles, including over 35 years as the attorney for the Johnson County Council and more than 34 years as the public defender in the Johnson Circuit Court.
